Growth Project: Post 3

Hey guys.... Considering I was a little behind on my blogging, and just posted my second post, this third post won't be much more exciting. My apologies! I am planning to have pictures up by tomorrow. In the meantime, here are some fun facts about growing avocado trees... or just avocados in general :-)

• Avocados have been grown for over 8,000 years!
• There are a few different types of avocado trees: Bacon Avocado (sounds yummy), Hass Avocado, Wurtz Avocado, Rincon Avocado, Pinkerton Avocado, Fuerte Avocado, and Sharwill Avocado
• Animals such as cattle, horses, goats, rabbits, birds, dogs, cats, and even fish can be severely harmed or even killed if they consume the leaves, bark or fruit of the avocado tree :-(
• Every single Hass avocado tree in the world is a descendent from a single “Mother Tree, grown in a California backyard.
